Sending a Mail/Care Package
The Jackson County Jail inmates are allowed to get written letters from their family and friends in the mail. For safety reasons, all letters will be examined by the jail employees when the letters arrive. The letters will be passed out to the inmates after they are checked by the jail employees.

The Jackson County Jail inmates are allowed to get books, newspapers and magazines sent to them. The books, newspapers and magazines, will need to be delivered straight from the bookstore or publisher to the jail. All books that are sent to the jail will need to be new and paperback. Sending Money
The Jackson County Jail inmates will need funds in their account to make purchases at the commissary.
You will need the inmate's name and their booking number in order to transfer funds into an inmate's account. By using the kiosk in the jail lobby during regular business hours you will be able to deposit funds into an inmate's account.

Phone calls
The Jackson County Jail inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During phone time inmates are allowed to make phone calls to their family and friends. The inmates are limited to 15-minute phone calls. The call will be terminated when the 15-minutes is over.
Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are prohibited for the inmates to use. The call will be disconnected if an inmate is caught using any of these features. Disciplinary action will be taken up against the inmate as well.
The Jackson County Jail inmates are only allowed to make collect calls. Only the individuals that have a landline will be able to get any of these collect calls. You will not be able to receive collect calls on your cell phone. The individual receiving the collect calls is the one responsible for any and all charges that are associated with the collect calls. The Jackson County Jail is not accountable for any and all charges associated with the collect calls.
The Jackson County Jail inmates do not have a way to get onto the internet. The inmates are not able to keep in touch with their friends and family using any electronic messaging systems. Visiting Rules
The Jackson County Jail inmates are allowed to have visitors. All visitors under the age of 18 are allowed to visit, however, they will need to be with their legal guardian. Before you are allowed to visit you will need to show either your driver’s license, state identification card, or your United States Passport.
Remember, all your personal belongings will be required to stay in your car. No personal belongings will be permitted to be in the visitation area.

How Often Can I Visit?
Inmates can be visited on their designated day above. Their visitation schedule days are based on the inmates last name. 30 minutes visitations are allowed during the weekday and 15-minute visitations are allowed on Saturdays.
