Sending a Mail/Care Package

Sending Money

There are several different ways money can be sent to inmates in Mille Lacs County Juvenile Detention.

Kiosk

There are kiosks in the lobbies at 1200 address. In order to deposit funds into an inmate's account, you will need to know the inmates SPN as well as their full name to use this service.

Online

Using the Touchpad website you can make deposits into an inmate's account. The deposit is immediately posted when funding an inmate's account this way. However, this service does have a fee.

Western Union

You can also use Western Union to deposit funds. You call them at 1-800-643-3422, log onto their website or use one of their kiosks as well. $300 is the maximum deposit you can make by either phone or online. There is a service fee involved with this service as well.

Mail

Money orders and cashier’s checks can be sent to the Jail. Checks need to be payable to the “Inmate Trust Fund” as well as SPN and their name on the bottom. The jail will send the check back to sender if the check is not made payable to "Inmate Trust Fund". Phone calls

Inmates at the Mille Lacs County Juvenile Detention are not allowed to receive phone calls from family and friends. Although they can make collect calls to family and friends that posses a landline. Inmates are not able to make a collect call to any cell phones. The individual receiving the collect call is responsible for any and all fees associated with the collect calls. Visiting Rules
