Sending a Mail/Care Package

The Reno County Jail inmates are allowed to get written letters in the mail from their family and friends. For safety reasons all letters sent to the jail are examined be the jail employees. The letters will get passed out to the inmates after the jail employees check them.

There are a number of items you are not allowed to sent when sending things to the prison along with your letters. You are not allowed to send the items listed below:

•    Glitter
•    Confetti
•    Perfume
•    Envelopes
•    Pencils
•    Pens
•    Writing Paper
•    Stamps

•    No photographs larger than 5x7”

Inmates in the Reno County Jail are allowed to get books, newspaper and magazines sent to them. All books, newspaper and magazines will need to be sent straight from the publisher or the bookstore to the jail. You are allowed to have these items sent from Amazon. All books that are sent to the jail will need to be new and paperback. All used and hardcover books are not allowed. All used and hardcover books that are sent, will get sent back to sender.

Sending Money

Inmates in the Reno County Jail will need funds to make purchases from the commissary. There are several different ways you can transfer funds into an inmate's account. 

There is a kiosk in the jail lobby that accepts credit cards, debit cards and cash that you can use. This service is available during the jail's business hours. The TouchPay kiosk accepts credit, debit, or cash. 

If it is more convenient for you, you can also go to TouchPay website to deposit funds. You can make a deposit by calling TouchPay at 1-866-232-1899. you will be able to use your credit or debit card there.

$20.01 between $100.00: $4.45 charge
$101.01 between $300.00: $5.95 charge

Phone calls

The Reno County Jail inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During their phone time, inmates are allowed to make phone calls to their family and friends. Inmates are limited to 15-minute phone calls. The call will be terminated as soon as the 15-minutes is over.

Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are forbidden for the inmate's to use. If an inmate is caught using any of these features the call will get disconnected right away. Disciplinary action will be taken up against the inmate.  

The Reno County Jail inmates are only able to make collect calls. You will only be able to receive a collect call from a landline. You will not be able to receive any of the collect calls from a mobile phone. The individual receiving the collect calls is the one responsible for any and all fees associated with the collect calls. The Reno County Jail is not accountable for any and all charges from the collect calls.

The Reno County Jail inmates do not have a way to get onto the internet. Inmates are not able to stay in touch using any electronic messaging systems. You will need to send a written letter to the address listed above in order to keep in touch with inmates in the Reno County Jail.

Visiting Rules

The Reno County Jail inmates are allowed to have visitors. All visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit, however, they will need to be with their legal guardian. Before you are allowed to go into the visitation area you will need to show either your driver’s license, state identification card, or your United States Passport. 

Make sure to keep all of your personal belongings in your vehicle. None of your personal belongings are allowed in the visitation area. 

All visits in the Reno County Jail are video visits and are through Securus. Contact visits are not allowed at the Reno County Jail
