The Hendricks County Jail is a medium-security facility in Danville, Indiana. The Hendricks County Jail is commonly confused with the Hendricks County Work Release Facility. They are two separate entities and two separate buildings as well. However, the Hendricks County Jail is under the watchful eye of the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is the law enforcement agency that will ensure the management and the day to day operations of the facility is running smoothly.

The main mission here at the Hendricks County Jail is to ensure there is a secure, safe, yet constitutional detention facility that treats the inmates with professional, yet respectful behavior. However, also ensures that everyone working in the Hendricks County Jail has a safe and secure working environment as well.

Inmates in the Hendricks County Jail will have the chance to have visits with their close friends and family members. These visits will be video visitation through Homewav. All visitors will need to create an account on the Homewav site prior to being permitted to visit the inmate. Video visitation prices are $0.50 a minute.

Homewav is also the provider that the Hendricks County Jail uses when it comes to their telephone service. Inmates will also be permitted to use the telephones to call their loved ones on the outside. Inmates using the telephone is not free either. The inmate will be charged $0.40 a minute to use the phone to call home.

In order for inmates to be able to use these luxury items, they will need money in their inmate account. You can put money in the inmates account by heading down to the Hendricks County Jail and using the kiosk located in the facility. This kiosk is available for you to put funds in an inmates account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The kiosk accepts cash, credit, and debit cards payments.

The inmates in the Hendricks County Jail will also be permitted to purchase various luxury items from the commissary or what is also known as the canteen.  The commissary orders will be delivered twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Inmates can order up to 4 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays to get their delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
